Laser hair removal is worth it ?
posted by Alessandra Valencia
A magical device that permanently eliminates unwanted hair? UM, YES PLEASE.
Look, we ALL can be lazy. You don’t want to wake up earlier than you have to just to shave because it’s been a few days and your legs look like the Amazon during rainy season. And waxing is never a good time when growing out your hair beforehand results in you lookin’ like Snuffaluffagus.
Shaving is more of an annoyance than anything. That uncomfortable prickle when you haven’t shaved and are wearing jeans? That 5 o’clock shadow under your arms? Don’t lie, YOU KNOW THOSE FEELS.
If you’re looking for a more permanent solution for your unwanted hair woes, laser hair removal could be the best service for you.
1. Laser hair removal does not actually work by using magic.
This treatment uses a cosmetic laser that has settings adjusted to both your skin and hair type. The laser fires a concentrated beam of light that’s directed at the pigment in your hair follicles. This kills the follicle at its root, preventing those from growing back.
2. You must shave the area you’re getting lasered.
Do NOT proceed to come in with your hairy self. This isn’t like waxing, and you don’t need to grow your unwanted hair out beforehand.
On that note, you can’t come in for laser hair removal if you’ve had a wax recently. Remember: The laser targets the PIGMENT of your hair follicle, and the follicle actually has to be there in order for this to work.
The best thing you can do is shave a day before your appointment.
3. This also includes staying away from tanning beds.
Don’t think you can get away with this, either. If you’re for reals about this, queue up some Netflix shows and embrace the indoors for a while!
4. Your appointment can take anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour.
It all depends on the area you’re having treated. Underarms and bikini lines tend to be quick treatments, but other areas like the legs or back can take a little longer.
5. Wear always eye protection at your treatment
No matter where you’re receiving treatment, you should always wear eye protection, which your physician will provide.
6. If you want to see results, you have to be consistent.
Hear me out: There’s a good reason for this. Your hair follicles are on their own growth cycle. People who see the best results typically go in for treatment every four to six weeks in order to maximize the potential of zappin’ the most follicles. This time frame allows the dead hair shafts to fall out on their own.
7. You should see prominent results after three months.
After the first few treatments you might not see much of a difference, but I started to notice a dramatic drop in my unwanted follicles after the three-month mark — and even more after that.
8. Some hair and skin types can be a little harder to treat — but not impossible.
Dark hair follicles are usually easy to treat because, again, the laser targets the hair’s pigment. This is also why gray, white, blonde, and red pigments can be tricky.
9. DO NOT wax or pluck after your treatment, though.
Shaving is totally fine, but PUT DOWN THE TWEEZERS. Pulling out hair follicles after your laser hair removal treatment hinders the process. Your unwanted hair needs to fall out on its own in order to see the best results.
10. Also avoid perfumes, deodorant, and hot showers.
Just for 24 to hours after treatment, and take lukewarm showers for the first week. After that, you’re golden!
11. So, is laser hair removal actually SAFE?
i“Laser hair is a safe and effective treatment when performed in a board certified professionals o,” Green says. “It gives permanent hair reduction and is safe, fast, and effective.”
12. And the most important question… is it worth it?
A THOUSAND TIMES YES, in my humble opinion.Laser hair removal doesn’t guarantee to remove 100% of your unwanted hair, but the few stragglers that do grow back are pretty much unnoticeable. I’ve gone two months without shaving my legs before, and gone are all my prickly woes. Basically, enduring laser hair removal treatments equals YOUR FREEDOM FROM THE STUBBLE STRUGGLE.

Non-invasive Body Contouring Treatment: New Technology Within Your Reach
posted by Khardine Gray
It can be frustrating, and even discouraging, when you set out to lose weight and find that after you’ve lost the weight you’ve got all this loose, sagging skin that you don’t know what to do with.
Where do you even begin to fix that? With more exercise? As it’s supposed to tone your skin.
Cream, maybe. But which one, how much to use and how long would you need to use it for to see results? More importantly, will it work?
Non-surgical body contouring is an emerging field that is captivating us with significant interest. Especially since a lot of people don’t want to go down the route of doing surgery.
Modern technology has brought with it a variety of choices to you. Non- invasive body contouring treatments is one of them, and you may find this perfect for you.
Body contouring is the perfect way to target problem areas of loose skin, fat, and cellulite. This technique modifies the shape of different areas of the body. The procedures used removes and/or reduce excess skin and fat.
This would be of benefit for:
Tightening & Lifting
Non-invasive technology has made it so that this technique can be used to reduce the size of problem areas, increase tone in lax or redundant (saggy) skin and reduce the appearance of cellulite. It can be used on areas like the upper arms and body, chest, and thighs.
At Prima’s Beauty Clinic we use the innovative T Shape Body Contouring system. This system is specifically designed for reshaping the body and revitalising facial skin.
It can treat anything in the range of small improvements in the problem areas, to major changes across the body.
The T-Shape combines three main technologies to achieve this. These include:
multi-polar radiofrequency, the LLLT laser and vacuum massage with various active impulses.
T-Shape generates a sporadic multi-polar current of 1.5 MHz radio frequency to generate heat. The radio frequency delivers measured energy to excess fat areas, creating heat within fat cells to destroy them.
Low level laser therapy releases cold laser energy into the body’s tissue that has a high proportion of fat cells. These cells are then broken down and absorbed into the body.
The combination of the radiofrequency and LLLT laser creates a powerful thermal heat reaction in the connective tissues. This reaction then encourages a growth in collagen and cell metabolism, resulting in a substantial decrease of the skin’s volume and laxity. In response the skin appears firmer and lifted.
The vacuum massage technology adds to the combination further by lifting, folding and pressing the skin to increase the blood circulation to the areas being worked on, and encouraging lymphatic drainage.
Studies and general feedback has found that this treatment is well tolerated by most patients. After you’ve had your treatment you can expect the following:
No recovery time required. One of the great advantages of this treatment is
that you don't require any time for recovering from the procedure and you can continue with your daily activities.
Improvement in the problem areas with each session. Treatments are normally scheduled over a few sessions for maximum benefit.
Patients will also see a noticeable reduction in fat bulges in as little as 2-4 months
At Primas Beauty Clinic our focus is on you, so our professionals will discuss your treatment plan with you to ensure you receive the best care possible.
Our mission is to provide you with the best treatment available to achieve your goals.

Laser Hair Removal: It’s Definitely Worth it

Waxing, shaving, depilatories, tweezing, threading and plucking are some of the most popular techniques people have used for decades to eradicate unwanted hair.
These techniques, although popular can be very, very time consuming, expensive, and painful. They can also leave you with unsightly ingrown hairs, soreness, redness, rashes, bleeding, bruising, and the list could go on.
It can also be quite expensive in the long run as you will have to maintain and manage the procedure on a regular basis to be effective, and maintain the look you want to achieve.
Laser hair removal could be the answer you’ve been searching for to remove unwanted hair if you are looking for something more effective.
How does it work? Is it safe? Is it right for you? Who can use it? These are some of the questions you might have.
Laser hair removal is a simple and effective procedure to remove unwanted hair from your face and body. It will achieve; smooth, clear, hair-free skin, and is ideal for both men and women of any age.
The procedure works by distributing gentle pulses of laser light into your hair follicle. The heat from the laser destroys the follicle as it penetrates each strand by going straight to the hair’s root. Because the follicle is destroyed it will be unable to produce new hair. This means that having the right laser hair removal procedure would achieve permanent results, and that unwanted hair would be a thing of the
Laser hair removal treatments have been around for a very long time and have attracted both good and bad feedback that you might have heard about.
Let’s clear up some common worries and give you some more information that you will find useful.
There has been a lot of bad press around things like; bad scarring, reports of extreme burns and blisters, skin damage and unbearable pain experienced during and after the procedure.
This has all left us with questions like:
Will I be scared if I use laser hair removal? Will my skin get burnt? Will I experience unbearable pain? Will laser hair removal damage my skin?
And in general, if all these problems have occurred for people, we wonder how safe the procedure really is.
Knowing what you are getting is the first thing you need to think about before you have treatment. Not all laser hair removal treatments are the same, and while some devices work in a similar manner there are significant differences that you need to be
For instance a lot of clinics offer Intense Pulse Light (IPL) treatments and call it Laser Hair Removal. There’s a very big difference in the way that these two procedures IPL is a technology that can be used to perform hair removal.
The technology uses a high-powered, hand-held, computer-controlled flashgun to deliver an intense, broad-spectrum pulse of light. IPL shares some similarities with laser treatments, as they both use light to heat and destroy the hair. But unlike lasers that use a wavelength of light, IPL uses a broad spectrum.
Laser Hair Removal specifically targets the roots of the hair follicle, and is effective on a wide variety of skin tones.
IPL on the other hand can’t target the hair follicles completely and heats the skin during treatment. Not only is there general risk of burns to the skin, but it can cause severe skin damage to darker skin tones.
Primas Beauty Ltd uses the MeDio Star NeXT Pro which is the latest in laser technological devices. The MeDio Star NeXT Pro is a clinically proven solution for effective permanent hair removal treatment.
The device is one of the most powerful high-speed laser hair removal devices that boasts state of the art technology which ensures a faster and safer procedure. Its dual wavelength combines with smooth pulse technology to quickly and comfortably remove unwanted hair, and remove your worries of experiencing pain.
The MeDio Star NeXT Pro also has an incorporated skin cooling system which cools the area to be treated immediately before emitting the pulse, always ensuring that the skin temperature is kept low. This is highly beneficial as it monitors skin temperature better than the standard cooling system used by some of the other laser hair removal devices and hair removal procedures. As a customer you can have peace of mind that you won’t have to worry about your skin getting burnt and you can look forward to a pain-free, fast, safe and efficient treatment.
It also has the added bonus of being suitable for treating skin all year round, and for treating customers with any skin tone including Asian and Afro-Caribbean skin, unlike some of the other devices and procedures that can only treat people with fairer skin tones. This can eliminate your worry of skin damage due to the device not being suitable for darker skin tones.
You can rest assured that when a clinic uses this device you will be provided with the best care, and the best the market has to offer you where laser hair removal is Primas Beauty Ltd believe that their customers deserve the best care, so you will not only be in safe hands, but you will receive exemplary patient care of the highest quality from the team of dedicated certified professionals who pride themselves on promoting a superior sense of wellbeing to all their valued customers.
